Brazilian artist born in 1972, in São Paulo.
Self-taught visual artist from Pelotas, RS, residing in the interior of São Paulo for 20 years. She began her artistic career in 1995 with the mosaic technique and later changed the tiles for paper painted with acrylic paints, cut and pasted.
With a degree in gastronomy, she worked in the area of artistic confectionery for more than fifteen years, and three years ago she stopped these activities and dedicated herself exclusively to painting. Papí participated in exhibitions in the interior and the capital São Paulo.
“I have the female universe as inspiration. My canvases have references in collage because, by cutting and joining fragments, I seek the harmony of bodies, the mixture of tonalities, union and my own acceptance. Like a jigsaw puzzle, when it fits together, it becomes free”
